Citizen Science

Citizen Science is the engagement of the public providing scientific research as non-scientist. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) defines citizen science as the public participating voluntarily in the scientific process to address real-world problems.

NOAA Citizen Science Strategic Plan

NOAA's Citizen Science Strategic Plan focuses on a path for the agency to engage with the public to support the agencies mission. Citizen Science provides the NOAA agency the opportunity to engage with the American public while addressing societal needs.
